On the 23rd of October 2018 the Hon. Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Akoto-Afriyie, made a working visit to the Techiman Municipality. As part of that visit he invited all stake holders in the soya beans industry to meet him at the Premier Palace Hotel and instructed stakeholders to form a steering committee to initiate the formation of a body to establish or synchronize existing activities of soya value chain players to help his ministry to identify challenges and strategize support to increase the production of soya beans for processing and exports of soya products from Ghana within the shortest possible time.
It is in responds to this call that a private own company in the name of “Soya Value Chain Association of Ghana” was formed and duly registered with the Registrar General’s Department Ghana as a limited by guarantee company under the country’s company code of 1963 (Act 179) on the 13th December 2018.

Our goal is to establish a Soya Value Chain Association that will seek to produce quality soya beans for the production of Soya products, to meet national demand and to make Ghana a net exporter of Soya Beans, and Soya product.
Our main objective is to establish a Value Chain Association for Soya Beans in Ghana, with a legal backing from the Government of Ghana to coordinate all stakeholders and activities of Soya Beans and Soya products in Ghana.
